Introducing a Draft Resolution

A Draft Resolution has to be submitted and vetted by the Dais before it can be introduced to the council. Different MUNs have different processes for this — check the Rules of Procedure.

Delegates are not allowed to reference documents that have not been introduced to the council.

Once your Draft Resolution has been vetted and approved, you may raise a motion to introduce Draft Resolution. Only sponsors may raise such a motion. This motion is procedural.

Delegates will be given time to read through the Draft Resolution. One of the sponsors may be asked to read the primary operative clauses to the council.

Then, there will be a question-and-answer (Q&A) session with the sponsors of the Draft Resolution. The Q&A session will take the format of Points of Information from delegates.
